“With more themed meeting rooms, free food, and flying drones than you'd expect from a housing association, Red Kite goes above and beyond to delight their employees. Did I just hear an ice cream van?”

We try to ignore boundaries – it's better to think massive and scale back, rather than being sensible and expecting innovation and more efficient ways of working to come from predetermined parameters

We look outside our sector for inspiration – we seek out totally unrelated principles that work elsewhere and explore what elements can be applied here

There's a buzz when you walk around the office, with people laughing and enjoying time with their colleagues

We’ve been ranked as 3rd and 11th most innovative social landlord in the UK by Inside Housing’s Dolphin Index

It’s fun to work here - in the last 12 months alone, we’ve had a mobile fish and chip van come round for all our colleagues to enjoy, as well as an ice cream van, we’ve put on a Christmas market, we’ve dressed up in colourful clothes, as Star Wars characters, in retro gear for Dementia Awareness Week, our Executive Management Team cooked breakfast for everyone, we’ve all been out in the community for half a day

Our colourful and spacious offices are right next to a beautiful park, on a bus route, just 2 miles from the centre of High Wycombe, meaning we're close enough to London to hop on the train

We’ve got a Marks and Spencer, Subway, KFC, PCWorld, Tesco and a few pubs, all within walking distance

  • Extra days off - we give staff their birthdays off and give them an extra day to spend volunteering
  • True flexible working - we all have super mobile devices that give us the freedom to work from anywhere
  • We are closed every Wednesday morning to our customers - during which time we innovate, do creative things and think outside the box

  • Customer involvement – our tenants, leaseholders and volunteers work with us, using our space in partnership so it feels like home for them
  • Our people – we encourage everyone to bring their personalities to work, and we recruit based on culture so that they demonstrate our values
  • Food – no problem is so big that it can’t be solved with food…we have regular treats and occasions that we celebrate through our stomachs
  • Doing Good
Social good is top of the agenda, so expect to feel good about yourself when you get home, no matter what role you do.
  • Team Work
Everyone's ideas are listened to, and from cleaner to CEO, you all have a chance to contribute.

QWhat 3 interview hacks do you have for candidates?
A
1. Listen to the question, then answer the question, don't answer the question you wish you had been asked.
2. Being a team player is great, but I want to know what you have done, don't keep telling me what 'we' have done, as I may just go out and hire the other members of the team.
3. Practice, for a few days before the interview ask yourselves the questions you think you might be asked, and then answer them. Do this out loud, not in your head, get used to hearing yourself speak and answer the questions, it will help with nerves on the day.
